Privacy policy
Perunit compares prices per unit. This page explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. You don't create an account, and we don't sell your personal information.
Information that stays on your phone
- Your comparisons: item names you type, store or brand names, shelf prices, amounts, units and deals.
- Your price book of saved comparisons, and how many price-book slots you have.
- Settings such as currency and sound effects.
All of this is stored in the app's private storage. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete items and comparisons in the app; uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes everything.
Perunit asks for no permissions to your camera, location, contacts, photos or files.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Perunit is free and shows an optional rewarded video (to add price-book slots) and an occasional full-screen ad after you save or finish a comparison, through Google AdMob. Ads never appear while you are comparing, and there are no banner ads. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers,
- approximate location derived from your IP address,
- information about how you interact with ads, and basic device and app information.
Your comparisons and price book are never shared with Google AdMob. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Perunit under Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings.
Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
No analytics
The Perunit app does not include any analytics or tracking SDK besides the advertising described above. This website does not use analytics or cookies, and its fonts are served from this site.
The teaser video on the home page is hosted on YouTube. It loads only when you press play, and YouTube may then set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
Children
Perunit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us below.
Data security and retention
Data sent to Google's advertising services travels over encrypted connections and is kept according to Google's policies. Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Your choices
- Delete any item or saved comparison in the app (with Undo if you change your mind).
- Change ad consent in Settings > Ad privacy choices (where offered).
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Delete all local data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
